Lions Club of Sydney Nepal Himalaya  (108758) - District 201N5 - AUSTRALIA It was established in 2009 by a group of young enthusiastic people from Nepalese background. The club was formed with a motive of serving needy of communities all around.But also to bring the like minded philanthropic  beings of same background together with a sense of community within. Since the club has been chartered, club has been involved in various fundraising activities and projects in Nepal and Australia. From raising funds for 2010/2011 Queensland floods to helping underprivileged kids get back to their education in rural Nepal, the club has been working in all sectors ranging from health, sanitation, education, poverty alleviation, rehabilitation, disaster recovery to clean drinking water and social awareness. Below are some of the highlights of the club activities so far:Funds collection for QLD flood Clean up Australia Day project
Bucket colection at various 
places for floods,bush fire and other natural disasters.

Installation of  water pumps in Sunsari , Nepal in co-ordination with “Water for Nepal” project

Co-ordination with various organisations in Nepal for recovery from 2015 Nepal earthquake

Building of school in remote district Jumla of Nepal in partnership with READI Nepal

Helping with education and well being of kids in orphanage in Kathmandu working with ECDC Nepal

Lions Australia is part of an international association, filled with people who are joined by the common desire to make their communities better, by using their creativity, enthusiasm and energy.

Membership is open to all people of the community in good standing.
